KVVP Annual Meeting @ African Zion Baptist Church
May 5 @ 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM

The KVVP Board of Directors has decided that the members of the Kanawha Valley Village People, Inc. (KVVP) should be given the opportunity to discuss the possible dissolution of KVVP and the subsequent distribution of our remaining assets to Faith in Action of the Greater Kanawha Valley, Inc. (FIA-GKV).

This matter and related issues will be discussed at the 2019 KVVP General Membership Meeting at the African Zion Baptist Church in Malden WV on Sunday, 05 May 2019, at 1330 (1:30 pm).

This decision is not taken lightly. While the community formed by KVVP has been and is important to us, the amount of work required for KVVP to remain a viable organization exceeds our limited resources, especially in finding individuals to fill key organizational and administrative positions.

Another measure of our unsustainability is the number of KVVP members, which has steadily declined over the years since KVVP was registered with the WV Secretary of State on Monday, 20 August 2013:

2015 (59)

2016 (62)

2017 (52)

2018 (46)

2019 (37)

[It is my intention to develop and maintain an electronic community that includes each of you (and former KVVP members and members of other organizations such as Friendship Force International). I shall provide information on this electronic community at a later date.]

Please, note that, if you cannot attend the 2019 KVVP General Membership Meeting in person on Sunday, 05 May 2019, at 1330 (1:30 pm), please, use the following PROXY form to assure that a quorum of voting interests will be represented at the 2019 KVVP General Membership Meeting.

For your proxy to count, provide the requested information and return the completed proxy to kvvillagepeople@gmail.com or rongraham.crw@suddenlink.net by the end of the day on Saturday, 04 May 2019.
