KVVP Privacy Policy

Article I  Purpose

Kanawha Valley Village People, Inc. (“KVVP”) places a high priority on protecting the privacy of its members and persons who inquire about membership.  This policy, showing KVVP’s firm commitment to the privacy of our members and website users, explains what types of information by KVVP, through its website, www.kvvp.org, or otherwise, and how this information is used.

Article II  What Personally Identifiable Information is Collected

KVVP members who register for www.kvvp.org and individuals who sign up to receive KVVP’s communications, including e-communications, voluntarily provide us with contact information such as name and physical or e-mail address.

A.  IP Addresses.  KVVP uses individuals’ IP (“Internet Protocol”) addresses to help diagnose problems with KVVP’s server, to administer www.kvvp.org, and for statistical metrics used to track website visitor traffic.

B.  How Personal Information May Be Used.  KVVP uses personal information to provide personalized service; to send e-mail alerts; to answer requests; to process membership applications, etc.  KVVP does not provide physical addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, or other contact information to anyone outside KVVP.

C.  External Links.  www.kvvp.org may include links to external websites.  These links do not fall under the www.kvvp.org domain, and KVVP is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of external websites.  Use of any linked website is solely at the user’s own risk.

D.  Modifications.  KVVP may amend this policy from time to time and maintains the option to modify this policy at any time by electronic notice posted on its website.  A person’s continued use of KVVP’s website after the date that such notices are posted will be deemed to be the person’s agreement to the changed terms.  KVVP invites members and others to review this policy periodically.
